blew up so that's all i remember is the like stadium dead but that means you know it meant they had the kind of the resources to for you know my dad to bring his whole family on tour so i i basically just grew up with it all the other members were like my uncles and yeah it was just like what my dad did i'm just shaking my head
I didn't really realize the extent of the Grateful Dead's thing until the 50th in 2015.
That was sort of when everyone came out of the woodwork that I knew that I didn't know were deadheads and were like, I'm a deadhead.
You know, like...
My high school friends who were, like, little skater kids and, like, didn't like hippies and stuff like that, they're all at the 50th, like, knowing every lyric.
You know, it was like, oh, well, this is deeper than we sort of thought.
And it ended up to be a new beginning.
Really fairly well was supposed to be an end, but then everyone was like turned on.
And that back to scale, back to outdoor, back to summer.
That's very grateful that, that the end becomes a new beginning.
My sense in terms of the music continuing is someone is going to be playing it.
So I don't necessarily feel any added pressure because of who my dad was or anything like that.
I truly believe that whether I do it or not, it's going to live on.
I'm all in on Bob's 300-year thing.
Like, my folks called it, they described the Grateful Dead as a big old oak tree.
And it's like the roots were, like, the jazz and the blues.
