Worst case, we get in a year's time where no one's bought them and they're going into their last year.
Now, I would suggest that nearly every club in the Premier League, outside maybe City and Liverpool, would want those players.
So I wouldn't be in a rush to get rid of any of them.
So I think it's been bad forward planning by the decision makers at Spurs.
Now, that's on the business side of things.
OK, they might say that a couple of them are getting close to 30 by the time their contract comes out, or over 30 in Vertonghen's case.
But I think it's bad decision making.
I think the priority for a board, a board are there to make the job as easy as possible for the manager.
I don't think that's happened with Spurs this year.
We're all focused on the immediate, like tomorrow.
He referenced twice in his interview he was looking forward tomorrow for the window to come and go.
It's been a problem for him.
He has towed the party line, he's said all the right things, but deep inside he'll be a very frustrated manager.
He, like all of us football people, know he's that much away from a team that could challenge City and Liverpool.
And that would be driving them out.
That would keep them awake at night.
How do you solve that?
I think Aubameyang is, just as you said, a really good guy.
I think the three fabulous players, I think Beppe will be a star in our football.
