Yes, I did know more. I think we gave our opinions, but we left that up to the parents, really, basically, because... You know, you have to know what's going on at that particular moment in time. Nothing stays frozen. And what was good 20 years ago might not be the right decision now. And I think that's an ongoing thing.

Grandparents are not supposed to be involved in punishing. That's the one good thing about grandparents. We never saw anything wrong with our grandchildren, even if we knew it was wrong. We closed the door. We hung up the phone. We said, it's up to you now. You're the parents. And I think that's the way it does work unless you live with your grandparents, which many, many people do now.
