It is like Lost.
As much as you might want to mock Lost, it lays down a bunch of breadcrumbs.
And then do you get angry at the ones that you don't feel led to anything final at the very end of the book?
I mean, the polar bear thing that people always think isn't answered is answered, actually, multiple times.
We know that the Dharma, it doesn't matter.
I'm just saying, like, these questions did have answers.
It's just, I think that when you have this idea of this story and something that you imagine is, like, integral to what you've built in your mind has to be answered for you to feel you have a final resolution.
That's where disappointment comes.
And that's where I wonder with this book or this series, if this is just something inevitable that fandom gets too territorial and they have an expectation of how they need things to end versus just allowing it to play out the way the author does it.
Yeah, he could pick up with other characters.
I mean, he's built a universe and a mythology that rivals any of the other greats.
I mean, Star Wars clearly wasn't done when Luke Skywalker is done.
So this can go beyond Carl.
Yeah.
Although we haven't read this book yet.
I'm excited for that.
Anyway, yeah, that was a little bit of a tangent.
