The Westall Witnesses: Australia’s Schoolyard UFO Mystery

They flew in from what appeared to be a northerly direction flying from north to south and these one to three objects

And sometimes I'm going to say one object.

And sometimes I'm going to say just what I did, one to three.

Because although about 80% of the witnesses remember there being one, 20% approximately are adamant that there were three.

So it sounds like there was more than one.

The Westall Witnesses: Australia’s Schoolyard UFO Mystery

And that's an interesting element to the story that so many people, even though it was a minority, do recall very clearly that there were three of these.

disk-shaped, what they described as classic flying saucer-shaped objects.

And so the word went up very quickly that these objects were in the sky.

One of the students, a girl student by the name of Tanya, raced into one of the classes, a class being led, a science class in fact, being led by a young science teacher by the name of Andrew Greenwood.

She slid open the wooden door, made a huge racket, and then she yelled out to the teacher, to all the kids, there are flying saucers outside, there are flying saucers outside.

and Andrew Greenwood, and the kids of course reacted partly in shock, partly in disbelief.

Tanya was given her marching orders by Andrew and told to get out of the room and back onto the oval, back to her class, which she did.

And about five minutes later, even though Andrew had settled his class as best he could, about five minutes later the recess bell went for morning recess.

And Andrew led the class, basically the entire class,

out onto the sports ground and was met with this sight that the other kids and we think at least one other teacher, one of the PE teachers, had been enjoying, had been watching for about five minutes at that point and it was the sight of these strange objects in the sky hovering, hovering quite low and then ascending and then descending

moving from one side of the sky to the other, moving very quickly.

The object seemed to have the ability to hover in place without moving, but they also had the ability to travel very quickly and to move from literally one corner of the sky to the other, literally within the blink of an eye.

And at some point,

during those early minutes of the sighting, one of the objects at least was seen to then fly a few hundred metres south of the two schools.
