Tiago Splitter is being embarrassed in front of us, okay?
Everybody in the league is talking about the idea of it being some sort of graceless that you would interview other candidates and stuff while your team's on a run.
Like, this is when you galvanize a community.
This is where your young fans get excited about something.
And Tiago Splitter is leading an improbable run.
And he's worried about whether or not the masseuse is allowed to work in the ballroom because they are cutting expenses in Portland, one of the richest owners that has ever existed in sports.
Money.
Where's the loyalty?
He's a billionaire, but hold on a second.
Let me just get back to what I was saying about Portland.
When they were owned by Paul Allen, okay, when I talk about opulence, okay, the players would have their cars washed and detailed in the parking lot.
They would go have lunch on his yacht.
Yeah, but he also he behaved that way.
He had a plane with a wet bar for the team and like a master bedroom like he was treating the team extraordinarily well.
This is what Portland is used to as a as an ownership group.
And so someone is coming in and doing cost cutting in ways that are empirically mathematically sound for business.
But soulless, like soulless in the place that sports end up being something that matters.
Those players would helicopter from his yacht to where they had lunch to his private plane because he was treating the players as if they were partners.
And he was doing so with great wealth.
This guy is treating his players like, get out of the hotel at 1230 on the road.
