And so I think what we need to do now is not row back, but we're halfway across the road.

Now, if you've ever seen anyone hesitate crossing a multi-lane highway, that is a very dangerous thing to do.

The best thing is to get right across as quick as you can.

And that's what we have to do in the transition now.

And to do that, we need to be taking sometimes hard decisions and driving some really important change in how we manage the system.

And so this digitalization, it's quite interesting, actually.

I mentioned earlier the South Australia grid.

After their very, very major 2016 blackout,

they actually had this question, can we deliver a reliable grid as we're becoming more renewable?

Didn't they build that massive battery with Elon Musk down?

Exactly, built massive batteries.

Yeah.

But they've doubled down on renewables.

They're now a 70% renewable system.

And I think it's certainly one of the cheapest in Australia from having been one of the most expensive.

By embracing this change and investing in the technologies for it, you end up in a cheaper and more resilient, reliable world.

Yeah, it's honestly a great example.

And first of all, by the way, what Texas has is relentless competition and the ability to build stuff.

And I think that latter point is what's enabled them to really benefit from building out wind and solar

in terms of electricity costs.
