What I think we've all seen is that folks watching at home's voices have been heard.
Until just recently, it seemed like that ICE funding bill was gonna make it through the Senate.
But thankfully, Senate Democrats are saying, no, we cannot leave ICE and Trump's mass deportation machine in place.
And so now we need to ask our senators before they send the bill back to the House, in my view, for at least five non-negotiables.
First, pull ICE and CBP out of Minneapolis.
No more of this in Minneapolis or other American cities.
Two, the masks need to come off.
Three, no more arresting and deporting US citizens.
or a full and thorough investigation of the killing of Ms.
Good and Mr. Pretty.
And number five, we've got to end these indiscriminate arrest quotas and warrantless arrests and searches.
This is the kind of things that all Americans should be able to agree on and all senators should insist on in this bill.
Kassar urged protesters to continue to show up and make their voices heard, to demand the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Noem, as well as the end of what he called the Trump administration's mass deportation machine, and to talk to others in the community and encourage them to get out and vote.
And Kassar said he'll do what he can to fix the country's immigration system by advocating for a speedy path to citizenship for immigrants who have been here working and contributing to communities across the U.S.

The GOP campaigned and won on a propaganda-fueled lie to the American people. They said over and over and over again that it was immigrants or people of color or trans people or whoever that were to blame for our economic problems. It wasn't a trans person who denied your health insurance claim. It was a giant health insurance company that has gone unregulated by the Republican majority.
It was not an asylum seeker that raised your rent. It was a Wall Street hedge fund that did, just like the Wall Street hedge fund CEOs that Trump is trying to fill his cabinet up with. The truth is the GOP doesn't give a damn about working people. They just pretend to. They distract us with bigoted culture war propaganda while they pick the pockets of hardworking Americans.
Our party has a tough road ahead. And I want to make it clear. The members of the Progressive Caucus are those who are best prepared to reform the Democratic Party. It is progressive caucus members who know how to stand up to CEOs who make more and more money while they pay their workers less and less.
It is progressive caucus members who have the experience of standing up to special interest groups who spend millions of dollars to influence our elections. It is progressive caucus members who know how to stand for peace. It is progressive caucus members who stand up to bullies and fraudsters and the cheats. who try to scapegoat our communities.
Trump's entire campaign was built on nothing but lies, and it is progressive caucus members who are unbought and unbossed truth tellers.
