As I said before, it's expecting different things with the same setup.
going into the game all I can hope for is that at least at the very least we have situations in which Liverpool are intense in which we have situations in which Liverpool look like they want to play football you know whereas in the last 20 minutes of the game against Chelsea it's not even that the players were played in the wrong position or the tactics weren't working it simply just looked like Liverpool didn't care anymore and I think that's up to the players themselves to you know
rightfully just give themselves a kick up the arse and be like look no there's something riding on this game here and we've got to we've got to go out and fight and we've actually got to go put out a performance that gets us that chamois league football next season
I don't even know what to do with score predictions this season with us, honestly.
Because it just feels so...
I'll go with 2-1 by the way I didn't put a number on mine I'll go 2-1 to Liverpool I think it's going to be the same as last season I think 2-2 2-2 OK yeah absolutely thank you to the boys that has been the pre-match warm-up and the lads behind the cameras we'll see you soon
take that doesn't seem so bad it's the lived experience to you the lived fucking experience the lived experience is not like you know there's been no picnic has it this season we're at the best let's be honest let's just say what it is but just to echo what John said there obviously to finish above United it's like we all want that we all care about that
As a fan, as long as Liverpool get Champions League football next season, I'm not bothered if it's third, fourth, fifth or sixth and billowing the Europa League type thing.
I just want to make sure Liverpool are going for big years next season.
That's the main thing that matters to me as a fan.
Obviously for upstairs, that whole thing changes because they want to build a project, they want to build a dynasty and
Again, as Jon mentioned before, if they can say, but our manager finished first and third in his first two seasons, that means something to them.
Whereas for me personally, as a fan, it's like, well, my baseline is just get Champions League football.
So if we get that, that's my bare minimum has been achieved.
I guess it all goes down to really where standards are held and the expectations from us as fans, but also the board.
Are we really happy with third, with the expectations and the standards that were signed basically the day we beat Arsenal 1-0 and Isak was signed, what was it, four hours later?
You know, are we happy with, you know, finishing third or finishing fourth and being that far away from not just winning the title, but let's just say from just being in a title race?
We personally know, obviously, like, you know, might sound rash after the season we've had, you know, with the context of before the season started as well.
But as I said, it all comes down to what the standards are upstairs, what their expectations are.
If they're happy with finishing third, if that means something to them, then obviously I hope that we do achieve that because then hopefully they can then go into the next season with a bit more optimism, maybe with a bit more of a planter back.
