And this is the message I got.
It's not looking good for him, meaning Refkin, and Compass has claimed that these efforts to punish Zillow for ZLAS weren't coordinated.
They shared some emails he sent to Brian Donnellan at Bright MLS, encouraging them to follow MRED's example.
When Brian said they were going to remain neutral, Robert responded saying he wanted nothing to do with them ever and that they had sold Compass out.
Now, what this says to me is that
I mean, there was a big announcement that bright was going to have compass join.
And, you know, it was like, it was like this series of releases like M red, bright, whatever.
But Brian made a decision of saying neutral.
Why didn't, I mean, looking back, if you, you know, hindsight is 2020, of course, but
You know, if there was an option on the table to stay neutral on this stuff, you know, MRED decided not to.

And look what happened here.

So did this even need to happen?

Well, of course it needs to happen.
Well, I think that's going to – but I mean from what I'm seeing is like it doesn't sound like Bright didn't have to – didn't cave to the demands of Compass, right?
I mean why – and I think MRED – so of the announcements we've heard –

I have to imagine what was different in that approach or pitch that made Emrad want to do this?
