We're not perfect.
We're about as good as it gets.
And we need to tell that story in every grade consistently.
And we can have a debate.
We've done so many things wrong.
Let's learn from them.
But just, you know, slavery was endemic to the world apart from some countries in East Asia.
Like it's not a uniquely American problem.
And we need to tell those stories because I think a lot of kids, the reason they're so susceptible to this social media propaganda is they've been brought up
being ashamed to be American, ashamed of various things in their identity, and being told that America is evil.
And we need to unwind that because America is awesome.
And we're the only vaguely successful multicultural society on planet Earth.
