I think a lot of artists of any sort, once again, will tell you that things come to them and they don't know where they came from.
And when I was asked to host this, I was, of course, on a professional level aware that I didn't want to draw immediate comparisons, not just to other hosts, but other female hosts around the world because so many countries have this.
But Channel 10 and the production company were really open to the scrapbook that I created, which was a backstory of the host.
And this is not a common thing to do.
In fact, I don't know that anyone else in the world ever did it.
But as a writer, I thought, where did she come from?
She lives in this house and people die.
Why has she never gone to jail and who does she live with and how does she afford it?
So this whole backstory, because I've written a lot of books, a lot of books, just flowed naturally and it was really fun to do, a scrapbook.
What a fun way to write a book.
It was her background and her husband's and wives and her childhood and the clothes that she would wear.
So we included her wardrobe and her looks.
So that's where it came from.
I know this sounds odd, but I actually know it's absolutely true, and maybe you've experienced it as well, that sometimes these things just come through you.
And once again, I was given permission, and I'm so grateful to TEN and SPP.
They're the production company because they said, yeah, let's do it.
Because that's been one of the joys of my life.
Yeah, let's have fun and just be silly.
Yeah.
