I guess some of the things that Jamal Mosley has done with what Joe Dumars wants to do, right?
And I think when you think of Joe Dumars, what's the thing that's obvious that everybody thinks of?
And it's his Detroit days, right?
Bad boys and the Pistons.
And look, I can tell you traveling with him this past year, I mean, those stories come up often.
You know, he talks about those days and things of nature.
Is the game different?
There's different changes and challenges on how you get certain players.
But I think one thing that
he kept stressing, and not just with this hire, but also last year, he wants his teams to be competitive, aggressive, and physical.
And I'm just going to tell you, as part of the broadcast, man, we, way too often last year, during a commercial break, during the broadcast, kept bringing up, all right, so who's, you know, who's,
career highs going down tonight like it started out as a joke by october november but december january february march and april every game and i kid you not somebody broke a season high or career high or a game high of something i'm not even kidding you it was either threes threes made you know a guy that's averaged four points a season
drops 20 in the first half.
Like, they didn't defend anybody.
So, I get the need to try to go there.
And you look at Jamal Mosley's 20-plus years, the thing that stands out, I think, at least to me as well, is this guy started as a scout, assistant, worked his way all the way to being a head coach.
He also did time with the Team USA Select.
He was an assistant coach and then coached the select team while Team USA was getting ready for the Paris Games.
