In the Russian space shuttle, and this is information that's publicly available, they didn't, I don't think it ever flew, did it, the Russian space shuttle?
That was based on technology that had been rejected by Boeing and they'd worked on it and that was the technology they were introducing and that had gone as a dead-end technology.
So, you know, I'd arrive in the city, and this is in any city that I was working in, and there would be an arrangement, generally a little bit spy, where there'd be a message for me saying, you know, something about, you know, you settle the invoice or can you do such and such.

So it wasn't all that spooky really, but we'd meet.
He would give me some of the equipment that I might need, the sort of stuff that would raise eyebrows going through security and customs in airports.
The technical things that I didn't want to be on a businessman.
And then I would get started with what I was doing.
He'd give me a briefing on what was happening in the environment and what they knew about what was happening with the targets, that sort of thing.
In that initial briefing with the agency officer, he said to me, listen, we lost someone in Europe last week, last month.
The CI people, the counterintelligence people have looked at it.
