So I'm Gwen and I am the mom.

And this book is a picture book.

It's drawings that Rylan did.

I stole mom's hat.

And so what do you live with?

What are your, what we would call special needs?

That's gender and autism.

Yeah.

So Ryland did a bunch of drawings about what it felt like to live in his brain and then started talking about them.

And I just decided, well, this is better than any therapy we've ever done as far as learning what it feels like to be him.

So I just started typing down what he would say.

And it turned into just the most introspective, unique, imaginative way for him.
