On june twenty seventh, trial was held in Superior Court, Department eighty seven, city and county of Los Angeles, state of California.
In a moment the results of that trial.
Charles Leon Kirby, alias the Badge Bandit, was tried and convicted in Superior Court on several counts of armed robbery, rape, and assault with intent to commit murder.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment.
After serving one year in the state penitentiary, he was judged insane and committed to the state mental hospital at Mendocino.
After two months there, he escaped.
Charles Kirby, alias the badge bandit, is still at large.
