It's very painful to sell to hospitals.
Now it's like.
Actually, hospitals are some of the best customers.
And, you know, and once you are able to get into the hospital, those relationships, the LTV there is huge because it becomes so sticky and the switching cost is so high.
So that's kind of the big thing that I saw at COVID.
Obviously, we had a bubble.
We all mentioned the IPOs and the SPACs.
I think the only SPAC that worked out was HIMSS.
a lot of failures during that time.
I think that was very painful in 2022, 2023, to be a company fundraising at that time or selling at that time.
I'm an investor in 51 active companies right now, and I have been recapped by so many of them in that time period.
Because these later stage investors come in, even if the company had been doing well, they obviously all had inflated valuations during the pandemic, 2020, 2021.
And it's hard for any company to grow into that valuation.
And so there's a reset.
And of course, those resets happen and early employees, early investors are the ones that get screwed over in that situation.
So we had this time period where
I'll just say I got many, many sad emails from founders who were put in situations where to continue on with the company, they had to take deal terms that were not favorable to them or their existing investors.
It was very challenging.
A lot of companies that got
sold for pennies that otherwise good companies, companies that I think would have been better off had the pandemic not happened.
