But just a blatant, to-your-face lie.
There is no sport in that.
I've always struggled with it.
By coming up with fun ways to say what you mean that sort of sound the opposite.
That's the classic not line that we'd like to play.
Like, you know, what did you think of the meal?
Wow, I wasn't expecting it to taste like that.
It sounds a bit like a compliment and it's not a lie.
So, yeah, do a lot of that.
But a straight-to-your-face lie, not so much.
My dad used to say, like, any time I did anything wrong, the contest would be so big, by 9 o'clock that night I'd knock on his door and say, hey, I did this, like that.
And I would back that, Tanner.
You are inherently an honest person.
