It's just, it's a protection thing.

And I think when you also become a parent, your mind shift changes again.

Because we had a period of no contact when I was younger and then another period of no contact when I was a parent.
They're completely different.
The kind of... The grief of it.

Because you kind of go, well, I now know what it's like to have a child.
I now know what it's like to, you know, I don't, I would hate for my girls to ever stop talking to me.
And if they wanted to stop talking to me, I would make it my business to know why and to help and to change or to, like, I couldn't just sit back and let them live their lives like that.
And again, that's another level of hurt that I was like, I know she kind of tried to reach out towards the end, but it was always, will you call me?
Again, it was always putting the oneness back onto me.
A little bit of victim there.
