So he came over and he got me.

And so yeah, he found her in the kitchen and I couldn't go inside the house.

So they brought me out a chair and I sat in my mum's front garden for eight hours waiting because first it was the fire brigade.

And then they had to call the guards.

We waited a long time with the guards.

Then the guards had to call the doctor.

The doctor had to come and confirm that she was dead.

And then the doctor had to ring the coroner.

And the coroner had to remove the body.

I remember once having a thought before she died and I felt guilty about thinking it.

I remember thinking, when my mum dies, I'm not sure if I'm going to be that sad because I feel like I've already grieved her.

And it just was a whole new level of devastation when it happened.

Was it?

It was.

Because it's not just the person I am now or the woman I am now.

It's the little girl who lost her man.

Who loved her man.

Who only had her man.

She also lost her.

And I think that's something that we kind of forget sometimes.
