I've just, once I, since I started my firm, I've really gravitated towards
ag producers and that's like the main focus of my firm now i just i have a lot of the same values as the clients as i am married to an ag producer raising ag producers and so it's a really good fit and we just really get along and it's been a great business
I came across Ambrook, probably not a traditional path that most people have.
I, in the middle of last tax season, I was working with an operator, fairly good size, you know, stalker feeder operation.
They also have cow calf at the end of the year.
You know, they had a bookkeeper that was supposedly really good at ag.
And so I asked, okay, your cost of cattle didn't change.
I don't see it on the profit loss.
What was your year end inventory?
Do you know what your cattle costs?
And it's,
crickets, right?
Especially when you get into like some of those lots where it's like, oh, I bought this lot and it moved to this lot and then we kicked them out to grass and then we brought them back in and it's now this lot.
And so I was like, okay.
And at the time you joked during the podcast that I had time to listen to a book, but I do a lot of traveling to and from the office.
So I was reading 10X is greater than 2X.
And they were talking about, you know, finding your unique ability and something that you're really good at.
And I thought, I'm going to create my own software.
This is my unique ability.
And so I, you know, got on Google and I was like, okay, how do I create software?
