But it was,

It was just a really strange coincidence that that was the job that I got that, you know, came up then.

So many reasons.

But I think I, I think I just sort of needed to stop.

I was, I'd kind of, I wasn't enjoying it in the same way I had done.

I was living in LA.

I moved to LA to do this, this film about the Manson family and decided to stay afterwards because I had a visa for three years.

I was auditioning.

I was really self-conscious in auditions.

I was doing kind of like bad things.

reads and forgetting my lines and I think I just couldn't move past what had happened to me and it wasn't a very um healthy space for me to be in to try and kind of put myself forwards and

be doing press or movies or whatever it was i think um i just i took a break um after the final season of game of thrones came out that i thought might be a few months and i started writing a lot in that time and then kind of fell in love with writing instead and so the break the break is still ongoing basically but it may be ongoing forever do you miss it no not at all no and how's life now

It's good.

It's good.

It's generally a lot quieter.

I mean, I say that having just had the book come out, you know, three days ago and this being quite a kind of whirlwind week.

But generally, you know, I don't drink anymore.

I don't take drugs anymore.

And I, you know, live a sort of quite routine kind of calm existence that's sort of built around like lots of writing, lots of reading.

I have a really nice community of friends, a lot of whom live near me.
