And so it's just kind of, you know, go out for coffee, go for lunch, kind of go for a walk, kind of quiet life.

And I don't know, it suits me a lot better.

It allows me to be a lot more stable.

I've kind of, I like talking about the book.

I'm really proud of the book.

And I'm interested in what happened to me or I wouldn't have written about it.

So I think talking about it is still kind of interesting.

And if people are asking me questions about this time, it's like, I do want to share it.

I wouldn't have written the book if I didn't want to talk about it, you know?

I think for me, it's really about sort of empathy.

I think that my experience of writing the book allowed me to have so much more empathy for myself, to hold these experiences I had gone through with so much more compassion and kindness.

And I think when we read and we are able to feel that empathy for someone else's experience, kind of whether it's fiction or non-fiction really,

I think it helps us hold our own experiences with less judgment and less shame and more kindness.

And so I think I kind of wanted to, you know, when I read the script for Charlie Says, when I read about Leslie's story and getting involved in the Manson family, I thought, oh my God, that could have been me.

And I kind of hope that people might read my story as kind of wild and unusual as it is and think, would I have done that in that situation?

Would I have made those choices?

And it's okay if they don't feel they would have done, but I just think kind of, I think we have a lot of preconceptions about, you know,
