Before we start the show proper today, I have somewhat of a public service announcement.
Let's call it like that.
For those of you active on Polymarket,
Over the last 24 hours, there's been an absolute scandal breaking out on one of the trades, one of the markets.
It was to do with permanent peace between the United States and Iran before a series of dates.
For those of you who don't know Polly Market, you're not interested in it, just stay with me for two minutes.
For those of you, however, who are interested in this, and I know a lot of people sort of do follow the show and take pointers off some of the analysis that comes out,
There has been, this is one of the polymarket's largest trades actually in terms of volume in the geopolitical sector for sure.
It's a little less than half a billion dollars have been traded on this.
And the scandal is effectively this.
I mean the criteria of resolution is what they called for an event
contract were quite specific no um for permanent peace that explicitly ruled out by definition temporary ceasefire extensions okay it was a permanent peace fire now um this is a message that i would like to get out to all the folks on polymarket i'd be grateful for those who are active there if they clipped this posted it
and put it out on Discord and wherever.
It seems to be the case, and this is the suggestion, it's literally one person commenting after another on this, talking about class action lawsuits.
It seems to be the case that the adjudicating authority that Polymarket uses to decide whether an event contract has been resolved or not, called UMA, U-M-A,
was that the nine anonymous crypto wallets that had that vote were large holders in the yes position.
