What professional investors have said to me, if you want basically to see a huge rally in your portfolio, and if you want to beat your benchmark, you have to basically look outside of what is in the index and make adjustments to your portfolio on the basis of that. matched

And I believe that really helps like some investors, you know, outperform in a given year versus the others. matched

There's no good way to know that. matched

So you go read at like a mutual funds name, right? matched

Let's say, and I'm just like throwing a name out here, the S&P 500 mutual fund ETF and whatnot. matched

that doesn't necessarily mean that it's copying exactly what the S&P 500 has. matched

You have to go inside and look at the constituents and you have to look at the fund's description to make sure that it is copying the S&P 500. matched

And if it's not, you have to make sure what exactly are the changes, right? matched

And if sometimes, you know, an easy way to give away an active strategy is if it's a thematic ETF, right? matched

If you look at something that's like only focusing on space companies, matched

Obviously, you're going out and picking those space companies one by one. matched

So that would be something that would be considered an active strategy. matched

But again, it really depends. matched

And you definitely have to consult with your financial advisor to make sure that you know what's in your portfolio and how it's being managed. matched

It depends a lot on what the Federal Reserve is planning to do next year. matched

Obviously, so far, they have signaled that they're going to raise rates higher than previously forecasted. matched

And that, to some extent, is worrying for tech stocks because obviously they've been battered a lot this year already. matched

And next year, if rates continue to stay higher for longer, that's going to create some pressure, according to investors I've spoken with. matched
