I would just say it's not connected to the lawsuit that I filed, but I really can't comment further about what is going on there in LA.
But California in particular, where I lived for 25 years before joining the government, has grossly bloated bureaucracies in general.
But specifically, I would call the most influential player in all California elections
the school lobby.
And so there's sick amounts of money that flow through the teachers union, and they really control who becomes the governor and all the constitutional offices and even members of Congress there.
It's pretty shocking the amount of power they have.
And with that kind of power, and then you add the bureaucratic bloat that is endemic to California government, you have opportunities for corruption that are rife.
And I suspect that that's what we're going to find out.
We absolutely do.
And every I mean, it's twofold.
First of all, the taxpayer, it's deeply offensive.
And second of all, they're stealing from the future of America by putting money in their pockets instead of educating our children.
Well, 100%.
In fact, it's already the responsibility of the Civil Rights Division to administer all of our federal election statutes, actually.
So the Voting Rights Act is under my umbrella, as is the National Voter Registration Act, the Help America Vote Act, the Unified Overseas and Military UOCAVA law that helps our overseas voters vote in our federal elections.
All of that is under the Civil Rights Division.
And in fact,
You're correct.
I mean, we do view it as a civil rights issue.
This civil rights division has filed 25 lawsuits.
