Because everybody played Little League.

And that was the perspective.

And I saw a NASCAR race one day, and I was bored to death with that thing, right?

And then I went to a race, and it's like,

you feel it because everybody drives so you think hey I can do that and next thing you know man they're right they're driving 250 miles an hour this close to each other and that's the same thing with little league to major leagues when you get on a major league diamond

It is no longer Little League baseball.

This precision is so perfect.

And it's just the same thing with NASCAR.

So I've tried to continue to do the teaching, but also understand how difficult it is.

That's probably the biggest change in our sport.

Like, All-Star weekend, my first year,

1987, American League, National League.

We didn't play against the National League in interleague play.

So in that game, it was like, I remember kind of the locker room was like blood.

We haven't lost to these guys.

I'm like, wow.

It was a mindset.

They're the National League.

We're the American League.
