I am absolutely delighted to be here chatting with you today, Emma.

What a I'm the lucky one.

So it is I'm not always that intimate in my first greetings.

Yeah, okay.

So I'm I'm from Hamilton originally for my sins.

I live in Dunedin, been here for about twenty three years, and I am

a full-time solo mother, first and foremost, out of two uh fabulous teenage girls.

Um and I have done a lot of things in my lifetime.

I originally I trained as a classical singer, so I used to sing opera.

And then that dream just sort of faded and um I also

owned a children's and baby store for about eleven years here in Dunedin and that

closed in two thousand and nineteen and then

Uh I'd sort of been dabbling in music theatre and the odd bit of performing as well, but somehow, some way, I'm not even sure exactly how, since about then, about two thousand nineteen to now, I've built this career as someone who does a whole range of things.

I clocked it pretty early on that most people would rather die than speak in front of a room full of people.

Like most people find that absolutely

like their worst nightmare.

And I realized that that is my absolute happy place.

And I'm really comfortable doing that.

And I was like, you know what?
