This bill is a disaster.
And that interview that you did yesterday with Thomas Massey was excellent.
It really went in-depth to the mechanics of it.
The background for this bill, of course, is that as a result of the livestream genocide
that israel just committed in gaza which you've covered at length and just the broader violent pursuit that they're engaged in to create what's known as this greater israel project in the west bank where they're ethnically cleansing and also in southern lebanon too where they're doing that and americans see this and because of that there's now this just record high public hostility to israel and the wars that american taxpayers just have to finance on their behalf and as a result
The Israel lobby, with, I should say, the exception of one group, J Street, which while they support some sort of U.S.-Israeli security relationship, has kind of more nuanced views on this topic.
They've expressed opposition to this measure.
The rest of the Israel lobby, though, has completely mobilized to pass this NDAA, which they've just done in the House today.
I forget what the vote total is.
It was mostly along party lines.
I believe that there were about five Democrats who voted for it.
And I think Thomas Massey, as usual, was the only Republican to stand up for America First principles and reject it.
But this bill and this section in it, 219, as you covered yesterday, is designed to cement and hide
the U.S.
military relationship and support that we give to Israel to just make it much more difficult to challenge through democratic processes, too.
So they've looked at the fact that Americans don't want this anymore and they're just going to hide and conceal it and also expand it.
And it's also, I think, as you covered yesterday, literally Benjamin Netanyahu's personal plan.
I mean, he devised it himself.
