What are other cues that the parents should be on the lookout for to assess when their kids are ready to be taught?
Listened.
So what's the best way to deal with biting?
It's just what they know.
It's the only thing they can think of.
Tongue twister.
What they know how to do.
Oh, my goodness.
It's one of the few things they know how to do is bite.
Because we definitely, like, if she bites, she doesn't really ever bite, but in the rare cases that she does, like, I think what our natural reaction would have been is to be like, hey, Tate, no biting.
And we would have given her the attention around that.
Do you agree?
Yeah.
And I also I think with us, what we also see with her while she doesn't bite, she will hit us is she does it for react like for reaction.
And so I'll hold her up and like I'll have her by my face and she'll love to like play with my face and grab my face.
And part of that will be like hitting and smacking the face.
And I've never really known what to do about it because she's doing it, you know, funny enough, in a jolly way.
And so understanding, like, don't give her the reaction in any way.
Don't say stop.
Either just give her a nice neutral look or put her down and reassess.
