And through the process of playing both sides, playing devil's advocate, it's like I felt this connection to what I believed, you know, or what I, when you're speaking something, you have this, you have a connection to it, you know, and you're like, you know, if it's bullshit or not.
And I really liked that process.
And I think as a society, we've kind of lost the art of,
We label someone so quickly for believing something when it's like no one is truly what you make them out to be just because they've said one comment or you snip something that they've set up, you know, to make them out to be fucking evil or something, you know?
Of course, I could imagine, mate.
I'm sure your life's changed so much over the last five years, right?
Yeah, absolutely, mate.
Bronze at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and then gold at the Commonwealth Games in 2018.
I was only a young fella then.
I think I was 20.
But yeah, I've been boxing since a young age.
Is it a good outlet for you?
Yeah, the reason as to why I started, I've always had an abundance of energy, and I think a lot of young boys do, from what I can recognize, but I had an abundance of energy, and I also was the youngest of three boys, but felt quite soft, comparatively speaking, to my two older brothers.
They were quite rambunctious, they were always doing the naughty things, and I was sort of around them, but I felt like this internal battle was
when I was having to do the things that they were doing, like I found it really hard.
Um, and I, I think I internally started beating myself up a fair bit, you know, just cause you naturally, you want to be fearless, like what my brothers seem to be.
Um, and then at the age of nine, I decided to give up basketball that I was loving at the time, uh, and focus on, on boxing.
And I fell in love with the sport fucking instantly.
You know, it's a, it's an incredible, um,
I'm sure what you've experienced in your life is very different to a boxing ring, but that combative nature.
