Um basically Japanese equities like a weaker yen.
Because the Japanese equity market is more driven by international investors than domestic investors usually.
Um so especially in uh e equity future is which is an ugly topic, let's avoid that.
But um
They
the direction is usually driven by international investment rather than domestic.
And international investors like Japanese multinational companies, the Toyotas.
And the multinational companies make billions for every yen weakening.
Yeah, 'cause they can ex cause they can export at lower prices.
Exactly.
So weak R yen um helps exporters, helps the multinationals, and helps the Japanese equity market, I guess.
But of course that's not
That is the what trillion dollar question?
Yeah.
So as you know, during Trump 1.0, during his first administration, he had he stuck on tariffs of um It was uh it was more limited though, his tariffs at that time.
Um for example, for um Japanese products it was limited to steel, steel products, it was like twenty-five percent.
And for Chinese solar panels, it was like 30%.
So they were limited to um some strategic product.
But this time, at least during before he got elected, he's been saying 10 to 20% on all imports and 60% on all Chinese imports.
