And I'm not trying to take us into the answers to that or international politics, but I will observe that we had some wild protest stuff playing out
on college campuses, often in liberal areas and Democratic cities, including New York City, where I'm at.
And that is cool for right now.
And very obviously, the Democratic ticket would like this not to be the set of issues and would like this to be the garbage line it is Republicans are trying to use and that no one's biting on at this point.
But we're waiting to find out what's about to happen with an attack.
from Iran into Israel.
We're waiting to find out what happens in the fall.
And this could really upset some of those politics.
And the last thing I want to say here is, Democrats, it's just harder.
You're putting together a big tent with all sorts of different groups with divergent interests and explaining why it's the same.
Republicans are just like, I'm a winner.
It's Trump's whole salesman shtick.
Everyone loves a winner.
Don't you want to be a winner?
And trying now to keep those groups together is complicated.
And very obviously, you go back to the debate, right?
Like when foreign policy stuff came up, when Afghanistan came up, Biden, as he was going through his mental notes and trying to get there and sometimes losing the thread, but he was clearly trained just not to answer any of that.
This is advantageous turf for Republicans right now.
And the quieter things are through Election Day with the direction we're at.
the better for the Democratic ticket.
