So to make it work, they had to they had to put in Kulak and Skinner into the deal.
You see Pittsburgh, like they traded Kulak subsequently, they didn't sign Skinner.
It doesn't look like they really
valued those players.
So, you know, it's not like the Oilers got more value by adding them into the deal.
And so they basically like lost players that had positive trig value just to make the cap numbers work.
So I think having cap space now is is definitely a big benefit.
Having said that, like they do have a lot of cap space and, you know, you can't spend all of it.
There's, you know, with the four point seven million, assuming they have no injuries, they run with the full roster all year, that would be twenty million
million of annual cap that they could add at the deadline.
Like you don't see teams add that much.
There's just not that much available um to to bring on.
And when I look at the roster in the mood, they did get the the calc rates flexibility, but I do think the roster looks a little incomplete still in terms of uh especially up front.
Like they do seem like they're, you know, like a a higher end forward away um from actually saying that they have a a better team.
So I think that they're probably
you know, about the same as uh where they finished or maybe just different.
Um, but I think where they would could really get, you know, better marks for the off season work is to use some of that cap space and and add something more, especially up front, because you know, that th four point seven now, if they start the season, let's say, with two or two and a half million, uh, again, assuming they don't run into major injuries, that still can fit, you know, eight or nine million at the deadline, which should be plenty to to
really go after someone.
So um yeah, I think that's how I assess where they are.
Well, that's a big number.
