And so, yeah, I think, like, you have a winger.

Now some of these other wingers could come.

And we also have sort of the top of the market.

And so I think that makes Eichel look at that number and say, hey, I haven't scored quite at that level, but I am a center.

And, you know, I'm not going to get 17, but how much less should I be expected to take?

Yeah, there is a path.

And one thing that we should talk about is Simon, he's going to be out, they say, a month.

So that would qualify him potentially to go on LTIR and allow the Oilers to exceed the cap.

The challenge with that is you've got to set your LTIR pool.

And while they could put him on and then carry an extra guy,

that would kind of limit how much they would be able to exceed the cap because they'd only be over the cap by a few hundred thousand in that example.

So the most likely way for them, if they were to use LTIR, is to submit a roster that's under the cap and then subsequently add him to LTIR.

That would allow them to exceed the cap by, let's say, three and a half million or so, depending on how much space they have when they submit the opening roster.

um they can go about this two ways you know if you think that phil and ragula have made the team on merit one option is wave two other guys and what we even send down two other guys whether that's a stature or a lazar or healthy maybe a yan mark another thing that they could do is keep all the guys on waivers that up that we just talked about and send down two guys that don't need waivers like a savoy and an isa coward

Then put Simon on LTIR and then subsequently call them up.

Keeping in mind, though, you can only have 23 healthy active guys.

Maybe another guy goes on IR for a week or something if they're not ready.

Now, the one change this year, though, is if they didn't move like that and send those guys down, they would have to actually play one game in the minors before they could get called up.

So it can't just be on paper like we've seen in the past and in previous years.
