And so technically for official record, that's not an offer sheet.
But to me, that's a trade that is basically an offer sheet.
I think we'll see some of those.
I think there's some situations where teams are tight.
There's some players that likely are open to moving teams or at least just getting paid regardless of which team pays them.
And I think, you know, maybe we don't see an actual offer sheet, but we could see some trade action that's spurred on by an offer sheet that's basically agreed to.

Because that's the combination where there's really no point.
You've got a team with lots of cap space, a team that wants a player that can match.
And from the player's standpoint, he's thinking, I could probably get what I want from Chicago.
They're going to match anyway, so do I need that tension and that awkwardness if I sign an offer sheet with someone else?
I guess those famous last words.
I was on an Edmonton show a couple years ago saying there's no risk of an offer sheet for Broberg and Holloway.
So I guess this could blow up in my face too, but I think that's very unlikely when you have a situation where the team is going to match, the player knows that's the most likely outcome, and he can get his money from that team.
Why go through that stress of an offer sheet?
But...
Well, again, why would he do that?
