But I think the high-end, top, top guys, I think we will see a trend of more of them taking shorter deals than we've seen in the past.
I would be shocked if they got an asset for moving him.
You know, again, similar, like he's not living up.
He has value.
He's not like a league minimum player.
Like if he was a UFA today, you know, he'd probably get what a million and a half, 2 million, right?
Like he's got some value.
He's got the intangibles that teams want, but certainly well below his contract.
So I, I just would be shocked if he returned an asset.
I think they would have to add an asset, but I don't think it's,
that premium of an asset, like we talked about.
There are teams with cap space.
If Vancouver is the only team that is interested, then it's really just a negotiation and who blinks first.
If Vancouver really wants them, okay, well, then you're not going to get an asset or as big of an asset.
But if Vancouver is kind of fine either way, but there's not much of a market for them, yeah, I could see Montreal having to attach an asset and just gut react or gut feel would be, you're talking like a third or fourth round pick,
to go with him or maybe like a B or C prospect, right?
To me, that's what the kind of deal would look like for Gallagher.
It's him plus like a B slash C prospect or a kind of third, fourth, maybe fifth round pick.
But a lot of it will depend on are there other teams that see some value in him or do teams see him only as what asset can we get to sort of like just take him and they don't see the on ice value or the kind of locker room value?
