Definitely a weird atmosphere.

Some lads were really annoyed with what was happening.

We'd be waiting on moves, waiting to happen.

Some lads' moves weren't happening.

It's definitely a strange atmosphere in that training group at the time, yeah.

Sometimes I think it changed day on day you know some lads would come in all happy because they've had a good phone call or something or some lads that had a bad phone call and they come in fuming or not come in like it was very dependent on what was happening in each person's situation I think.

You got a phone call from Saudi Arabia at one point is that right?

Yeah, that's it.

It was Steven Gerrard at Etifac, I think it was.

So does Gerrard call you himself?

I didn't speak to him.

I spoke to, I think it was head of recruitment or something like that.

And then that sort of went no further, really.

I think it got to the point where it was my decision on what to do and I just felt the best decision was to stay in this country at the time.

Yeah, I'd say I sort of had a chat with my family and stuff but that's not why I play football and I don't think that was going to help me in the long term in my career and what I want to achieve.

Yeah, it was probably 18 months a year sort of when I first joined QPR.

Yeah, I met him at the stadium really when I first joined a few weeks into that.

I was injured and I missed the whole... I joined QPR in January and I missed the whole rest of the season.
