Web 2 is the whole idea that you can read and write to the internet.

You've got comment sections.

You've got social media.

You've got all this stuff.

It didn't exist in Web 1.

Web 1 was like static pages.

You have a home page.

And you go to the homepage and you read the homepage.

I remember at the time there was a lot of excitement because Time Magazine was on the internet.

They had a webpage.

People were like, oh, Time Magazine is going to rule the internet because they came to the internet first.

They're going to crush it.

It's the same thing as people worrying about, oh, Stripe now has a product so they're going to control stable coins.

It's ridiculous.

This has always been the concern of people when they see big companies coming into these spaces.

But

The reality is that, okay, when you first started to see Facebook and you first started to see these Web2 era companies start to form their products,

Did that mean that like, okay, Facebook now has a news feed.

Is it basically on to the next thing?

Is the internet over?
