By 2018, it was all collapsing.

I had just become an investor at Metastable and just started learning the ropes of VC.

And just as I was doing that, everybody around me who came in the industry at the same time left because they were all like, oh, this was all a mirage.

This was all bullshit.

None of this is real.

And I was convinced that, no, no, no, no, no.

You guys are overreacting.

You guys don't have enough conviction in this space.

This space is going to be absolutely huge.

And like the future of money is absolutely going to be changed forever by what was invented in this industry.

I was just completely confident that they were all wrong.

And so I stuck it out in this industry as an investor.

And I've been here for, you know, coming up on 10 years now.

I would pick AI for sure.

100% AI.

No, because crypto is a lot more mature today than it was at the time that I came into it.

At the time that I came into crypto, crypto really needed someone like me.

Not that I was that special, but more that crypto just needed people.

It needed smart people to come in and start thinking about all the hard problems that they were going to face.

It's not like crypto doesn't need people today.
