But one of the things he said is when he was growing up, his parents sat him down in front of an ad and said, you know, those people, they're being paid to look excited.

They don't really care that much about the washing powder or whatever it was.

And so there is an underlying cynicism, I think, which maybe it's not overly healthy to teach children, but certainly an ability to look at something and say,

do I really need that or is it just simply this kind of peer pressure that comes into the equation?

Because you're right, they are bombarded.

Trying to teach them about that I think is really important because as they get older as well, they're then getting bombarded with people online telling them, hey,

follow me for investment advice and we'll put all this money in and I tell you when to buy and when to sell and all the rest of it.

Oh, 100% you will.

And it's amazing until it's not.

And that's where one of those big financial costs come in.

So a healthy dose of cynicism, I think, would be amazing.

And is the person who's telling me to do this or advise me, do they get a benefit out of it?
