Okay.

I know some people listen to that and they're like, obviously.

But I think there's like a nearly an over romanticization of, you know, investing.

Yeah.

And it's like investing is like a catalyst to make things go faster.

But like someone who's got their money in cash and earning good money, or more importantly, saving a lot of money, because you can save a ton of money even if you don't earn as much, that person will always win out.

Because that person will eventually invest it anyway, for instance.

But it's like getting a second job, figuring out how to get a promotion, cutting down your spending.

so these are like all the things that come from that they're like they're like things that matter yeah you know like investing is good i invest my money like 88 of all my wealth's in etfs you know yeah cool it's like four five percent and something and whatever else and it's like a bit like it the investing part's not what helps or what has helped me get to where i am it's like it's you know i've largely worked more than one job

for over a decade, you know, or I've relentlessly saved money.

I don't think I've ever, I think I've been saving more than 50% of my income since I was 22, you know?

And it's like, that's kind of what makes the difference.

And I feel like people don't like to talk.

I feel like the problem is that sometimes it can feel very like we don't want to

diminish your expenses because they're fun or we don't want to tell you that you might need to work more in this troubling uncertain time because that's depressing or that like takes away your work-life balance but investing is really safe yeah so investing is like the solution so we'll push that yeah so it's safe it's like uncontroversial and investing is so important like that's you and i our lives are based around it but it's like it's not it's not like the the fast

Well, it's like that whole thing of like, you know, classic cases, you want your IVV stock to grow at 10% per annum.

That's before you eventually pay tax on it.

Yeah, that's true.

But like, okay, go buy groceries 10% off.
