When she did, I think it was Nicholas Sander who tried to revive her and just say, well, actually, she was right.
Because look, she has taken the throne.
She was a prophet.
And also that worked because she prophesied against Anne Boleyn.
So that played into all of that as well.
But in terms of...
Her legacy, I was going to say we should end on a high, but it's not really a positive one.
So because she incited this rebellion in Catherine of Aragon, and because she put so much pressure on Anne's marriage that had to survive, I think there was no room for error.
So when Merlin did not birth the son and heir, which was the sign from God,
they all thought, okay, maybe the nun's right.
And it left no room for error.
And when it came to wanting to get rid of Anne Boleyn, because they'd had this seven-year battle with Catherine of Aragon that was incited by the nun,
That's why I think they thought, OK, just off with her head.
As a ballsy young woman.
I think, I don't like the idea of her being remembered as someone who was manipulated, but I think it's a good story to sort of show us what happened and how women really got the short end of the stick and were used and abused.
