And so our staff is currently engaging with United Way Broward's Coalition on Behavioral Health and Drug

prevention, and that's our community response team that we're using.

So this coalition is a cross-systems task force that has membership representation from a variety of fields and communities, including medical, addiction treatment, education, law enforcement, judicial, business, faith-based, government, and recovery communities.

And the coalition advises, plans, and provides for programs relating to the abatement of opioid use and other substance abuse throughout Broward County.

So the coalition is currently engaged in doing their 2026-2029 opioid action plan using a rather comprehensive research-based methodical approach that includes working with an epidemiologist from NSU who's doing data collection and information gathering on trends

on opioid use and treatment.

They're doing public surveys.

They're having community conversations in town halls, including a youth town hall this week.

And tomorrow, we're meeting with BBHC's Recovery-Oriented System of Care Committee.

The coalition recently convened the Addiction Prevention and Solutions Summit.

And they also are hosting the upcoming 11th Annual South Florida Behavioral Health Conference.

And finally, they have a very active public policy committee
