That's certainly not what our announcement this week is.

We're going to be talking about the cost of living and the things that we can do to support people.

Ultimately, superannuation is a retirement savings scheme and I've chosen to use my retirement savings scheme and a residential property, a batch, that my parents were selling because it's been our family batch for about 40 years.

They wanted to sell it and I used my superannuation, my retirement savings, to buy it off them.

And that's okay, is it?

Well, one of the issues has been around the capital gains for that.

And we're proposing a capital gains tax.

I will pay that on my secondary property if the Labour Party has the opportunity to introduce that.

And I think that that would be a very fair outcome.

Well, people can make their own choices about how they invest their money.

I think the role of government is to identify what signals we want to send about where we want people putting their money.

I'm investing in KiwiSaver as well.

No, I would draw a distinction here.

I mean, I think some of the media reporting here has actually been wrong.

I have not used any accommodation allowances to pay for my family.

I never said you have, but none of us... No, but some of the reporting has suggested that, and I'll be very clear, I have not done that.

They're leaving behind jobs that they cannot go back to.
