Yeah, there's n so early in our podcast, uh, when we were specifically talking about COVID a lot, as that was a developing story we started in March of twenty twenty, uh, many of our episodes began with actually here's a correction, an update, uh a nuance.

That is actually one of the things that we heard from people relatively early on as to why they kept coming back because

Uh they knew that if we did make errors, as people who are trying to understand things that are developing in real time, will make if they are uh anything but utterly cautious or anything but simply accepting what the experts say, in which case they'll still say errors, but they will be able to blame the experts uh for those errors, uh, then errors will be made.

We will make errors, and uh what we have to do as honest brokers, as scientists,

In this case it's not a scientific error, but it was an an error of fact that I said and

I was wrong and here I am.

I mean, in the same category, error is made uh in the opposite direction for people who claim the mantle of scientist.

Well, he's a scientist, therefore what he said is true.

And of course, we find you know quite the opposite across the board, especially during COVID, but uh but this this de facto assumption of correctness or incorrectness based on the category into which you've been put or have placed yourself is absurd.

how discourse works, or at least it's not how it should work, uh, but many are getting away with it.

on my part doesn't change the analysis that I don't think it's appropriate and I think it suggests um

Poor judgment at best, uh, by the executive of the country at the moment, uh, to to put himself on banners in the middle of the capital city.
