And for John... This is more than just a personal venture, an odyssey.
It's more than just something for the classroom.
It seems to me that self-esteem is the vision, the heart of a new culture.
a new way of being, a new way of living, a new way of educating and politicking and living and working and all the rest.
And may you have in your own lives ever more freedom to be esteeming, to be public, to be political, and to have good times for yourselves.
And, you know, that was part of John's genius and shadow.
I think there was a lot that he was proud of, and rightly so, and yet there was a lot that he would have said is undone.
And I'm pretty sure he was disappointed that he never realized some of the levels that I think he thought he was capable of.
