So probably born around about this year zero, not that we have a zero, but you know.

That was lucky.

And died around about 30, 33, something like that.

Oh, no, no, Helen, you're going to tell me that's wrong.

I love that fact.

Well, he had a few brothers.

I mean, his main brother was called James.

He sort of kept the movement going after Jesus.

But he has a few brothers and they're listed in the New Testament too.

And a couple of sisters.

But we're not given the names of those, unfortunately.

Yeah, because, you know, who cares about the women?

Yeah, basically, he just sort of emerges fully grown around about 30, Luke's Gospel says.

And the first thing we know about him is that he seems to be a follower of John the Baptist.

Now, John the Baptist seems to have been a bigger deal in his day than Jesus was.

Josephus, again, mentions him.

He actually quite approves of John the Baptist.

John the Baptist seems to be, I mean, he's got this thing that he baptizes people.

He wants them to repent, get themselves ready.

Basically, he's saying the end of the world is coming.
