So back to this Reader's case.
They were flying with Emirates.
So first thing they did when they found out that their flight was cancelled was to go to them and say...
Can you please help us?
We'd like another flight.
And this is where the problem started.
So, as you said, they booked through Apodo, which is one of these online travel agents.
Now, these really, really annoy me.
This is where the rant part comes in.
I just don't really see the point in these companies, right?
So...
Back in the day when you had high street travel agents, you know, you would go there, you would speak to a nice friendly travel agent.
They'd show you a brochure and they'd say, oh, I see you'd like to go to Spain on holiday.
Perhaps you've considered this resort.
You know, people say this is really nice.
But now it's when it's just you looking on a website to book your holiday.
I just don't really see the point in these sort of third party middlemen getting involved.
Yeah.
The reason people end up falling into bed with them is that you'll be on a flight comparison website and their prices will look slightly cheaper than booking with an airline direct.
So you're like, oh, I can save 20 quid if I book my flights with a podo.
