it sort of remains to be seen how he will come out of this process exactly, Nigel Farage, in terms of favourability.
But ultimately, um if on the face of it, he was MP for Clacton, took a thirty eight day hiatus and is now back in the exact same position, albeit with slightly more votes.

You're never quite sure at this time, particularly when you've spent the last however many hours surrounded by bins and loonies and all sorts.
It I mean it's it's three foot long and that's actually a problem in and of itself because by law here you have to make sure it fits on a table because that the sort of sort of old fashioned way of counting where you have to lay the ballot paper out and then fold it up and put it in a pile, it's gonna mean it takes longer to count the votes because you've got to fold the blimming thing.
And then also you have to make sure it fits on a table.
So Claxon have actually had to
hire some larger tables to make sure the ballot paper actually fits.
Yeah, it's a strange atmosphere.
I mean, there's there's a lot of voter fatigue, to put it mildly.
There is not a single resident in Clacton who hasn't been vox popped um by one of the political parties, um, or by a journalist.
So I think you do get this sort of w if you go up to them and ask them their views, they they look fairly despondent and you actually can't blame them.
But there's there's a little bit of a sense among some that the circus has
come to town and that this is a bit of a waste of time and that they just bluntly want to enjoy the sun, enjoy their summer, have a fish and chips by the sea and get on with life, not have to go to their local church, polling station, etc., to cast their votes.
Having said that, um there's some who are actually sort of relishing it and the fact that Clacton's on the map and they like the fact if, you know, they're cla fans of Nigel Farage, they like the fact he spent his summer down here knocking on
Doors, drinking at pubs, riding on the Placton pier, various rides there.
